Do you need help in writing a career change CV? Writing a new CV to reflect a new career need not be too difficult. The principle remains the same, as when scouting for a new job in any career.
What you want to remember is that you need to be at your best in promoting yourself. Emphasize your strongest qualities, skills, knowledge and experience, and let your prospective employer see why he or she must employ you.
In a career change CV show how you will bring your previous experience to bear on your new job search by highlighting where skills from the former job can be applied in the new setting.
Do a lot of research on the new job type, and do not fail to use jargons specific to that field to describe what you can do. Never generalise things. Use specific examples.
"I was in charge of a buying budget of £150,000.00 per annum, and was able to provide all the required infrastructure in my department with the use of only three quarter of the allocated budget, by bringing in effective cost saving skills, without compromising qualify or productivity in anyway, wining me wards and accolades for five consecutive years" is an example of specific achievement.
Fill out any career gap and explain why any. Do not feel apologetic or shy away from making known that you are on a career change in your CV. We have presented an example of a career change CV below.

Note the difference, as this same job seeker who now have strong family commitments decided to "down size" from working as an architect to a part time teacher for a while. Of particular interest is how she has demonstrated a skill transfer from the office to the class room as shown in next page sample of career change CV.
