Set and operate CNC or Manual Lathes as efficiently as possible Set and operate CNC or Manual Milling machines as efficiently as possible Report any machine defects or breakdowns to line supervisor Use Oxy-Acetylene Brazing equipment Work to Company instructions and drawings
Key Tasks:
Set CNC machine to operate at maximum output Carry out basic maintenance of machine, i.e. cleaning, filling with oil/coolant. Deburring of components Be able to inspect own work is within drawing tolerances Maintain a clean and safe working environment Ensure compliance with health and safety
Skills and Attributes Required:
Able to set and operate CNC or Manual Milling machines Able to set and operate CNC or Manual lathes Able to read drawings and relevant information Able to use Oxy-Acetylene Brazing equipment Flexible attitude (may be shifts in future) Good housekeeping and health and safety procedures Able to identify tooling and working methods Good knowledge of machine shop practices in milling, drilling, boring and grinding Knowledge of CNC codes to effectively operate machine Experience preferred but training will be given
Knowledge of cutting tool manufacture would be an advantage but not essential
