IELTS Writing Module
IELTS writing section from my experience seems to be the most feared part of the test. This should not be.
The IELTS module on writing involves solving two tasks.
The first is a test of your analytic ability, and your ability to express your analysis in English language. Usually, you are expected to do this in about 150 words for 20 minutes.
Graphs, charts or tables may be given with figures to analyse. Success here again depends on practise. Loads of practise before the exam!
Many come to realise that it is not as difficult or scary as they thought it would be … only if you practised and practised a lot before the exam though.
Do not be afraid of describing what you think the graph may be saying. Mind you, the test is mainly to see how well you can express your self using English Language as the medium of communication.
If you are unable to get the right answer to a question does not necessarily mean that you will fail. Exact knowledge is not what is been primarily tested here. It is how you put your thoughts across.
The second part of this IELTS module involves taking a position on a topical or controversial issue. Again here, you can not have a right or wrong answer. How you express your self is more important than what you say.
It is suggested you write this for 40 minutes. Practise practise and practise essay writing. Get ielts writing practise materials and this section would be as easy as pizza for you. amazon
