Manufacturing Engineer




We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience as a manufacturing engineer in a medical device environment.

Responsibilities:

Investigate material related issues & drive data based decisions through identification of appropriate testing & subsequent interpretation of results (including FTIR, DSC, DMTA & Rheology testing)
Take direction from the production engineering team in driving key projects to enhance quality, service & cost.
Lead significant project activities
Determine project Gantt
Document and agree Project Charter
Execute project to schedule
Tracking costs
Scheduling activities
Demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality
Provide material knowledge input into VS projects
Assist in test methods, part sourcing and documentation
Perform equipment qualifications and validations, including report writing
Design, specify, test and document production equipment, changes and improvements.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelors Degree in Engineering, OR equivalent
Strong Extrusion and Moulding processing knowledge with at least 18 months previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferably within medical device / regulated industry.
Strong technical skills
Delivers on commitments holding themselves accountable.
Ability to organize, plan and execute multiple tasks to a schedule
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Self starter / takes initiative
Team player
