It was somewhat frustrating in the past when there was no provision by UKBA for Oversea nurses to migrate to the UK to do the overseas nurses programme.
Good to hear that there is now a new scheme (Modernised Guidance Immigration Category)through which oversea nurses can come to the UK to do their Oversea nurses programme which would lead to registration and licensure to practice.
However, it is worrying to hear that this scheme still seems to be under review according to the information on UKBA website. The situation is raising questions like: Would it ever be implemented? When is it going to be implemented? etc.
Answers to these questions will well be appreciated and acknowledged.
