To build and lead a team responsible for ensuring that initially 2 building projects in W1, totalling 65,000 sq.ft gross are completed, on time, within budget.
The successful candidate will take responsibility in ensuring the success of every stage of the building projects.
Working in partnership with senior management and other members of the team throughout the whole process to ensure the smooth delivery of the project at every stage from start through to completion.
Liaising with and supervising the work of the other professionals involved in the project; making sure the aims of the project are met; ensuring that quality standards are adhered to; keeping track of progress and ensuring that the project is on time and on budget; maintaining records of expenditure, accounting, costing and billing.
Initially, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing two projects which are due to start imminently. This will involve the construction of mixed residential/office/retail units totaling 65,000ft sq. in Central London over a period of 12-months.
Educational and experience requirements must include engineering degree or equivalent combination of technical training plus 2 years? experience/knowledge of construction, design, finance and management required.Prince 2 will be preferable but not essential where experience is adequate and proven.
Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize construction team performance.
Thorough understanding of current industry practices, processes, standards, etc.
Good communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, flexibility) skills essential.
Excellent computer skills and fluent English. Fluency in German would be an advantage.
Working hours: Monday -Friday 8am - 6pm with Saturdays 10am-4pm as required. The company dress code is smart black.
