Technical Architect, Gibraltar - EU Applicants Only

Our clients are a dynamic forward thinking online gaming company whose main operations are based in Gibraltar.

They are looking to recruit a Technical Architect on a permanent basis to support and enable business change.

The successful candidate will responsible for delivering IS services to the Company including the design criteria, non-functional requirements and key performance indicators. You will be leading the development of IS strategy to balance the risk and reward of investment. For this role you will need to be able to demonstrate both technical and solutions architecture capabilities.

Other areas of responsibility:
• Produce designs and technical specifications.
• Contribute to design and policing of
o Enterprise Infrastructure
o Technical Architecture
o Solution Architecture
• Ensuring technology is up to date and able to meet current and future needs.
• Own and provide technical management of suppliers.
• Be part of the architectural governance process.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in software design and development of web based applications. Excellent knowledge of JEE, Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP, .Net, Oracle. In addition to this you will also need to have knowledge of ESB, SOA, XML, SOAP, HTTP, along with knowledge of architectural frameworks and methodologies.

You will also need to have a strong customer focus.You will need a deep understanding of data warehouse approaches, industry standards and industry best practices. Very competent SQL skills for multiple platforms including Oracle, Informix and SQL Server. Experience with ETL/ELT tools, ETL programming and methods of data extraction.
