If you are interested in becoming a Independent Living Team Support Worker OR have BSL skills we want you to come and join us in providing excellent support to our service users. Your role will be to enable individuals with dual sensory loss to develop their independent daily living skills in accordance with their individual care plan.
As mobility is a key part of providing support, access to a car or the ability to use public transport to provide transportation to our service users is essential.
Personal Care duties (as outlined in the job description, which is available from our website) may also be an integral part of an Independent Living Team Support Workers role. You will receive professional support and training to enable you to play a key role in our Independent Living Teams. If personal care duties are part of a role you will be applying for, this will be discussed with you at interview.
Salary and Benefits
We pay £6.82 to £7.83 per hour dependant on
qualifications (i.e. NVQ level 2 in Social Care, BSL Level 2 and our in house taught Signature CACDP qualification).
We also pay £9.14 per hour for those holding the BSL level 3 qualification and are required to work with BSL level 3 service users.
In addition, we fully support you to gain qualifications such as the Signature CACDP qualification to work with people with dual sensory loss plus we also offer a competitive annual leave allowance and other benefits.
